Kickstart will help you transition to a 5-year, big ideas approach. You will start the process of reshaping your curriculum into a progression of key concepts that leads students towards expert understanding. At the level of each unit, you will see how teaching towards clear objectives for applying and analysing can help weaker students improve by developing their cognitive abilities.
To make your job easier, we have created a 5-year big ideas curriculum framework. Blueprint is designed backwards from the new GCSE requirements and developed with an Awarding Body. Our analysis shows there is enough curriculum time to teach concepts and skills in depth and still get through the content. Blueprint does this by building a strong foundation to build on later. This reduces the need for re-teaching and makes it easier to learn the factual details.
