Scientists grow human embryo without sperm or egg
Scientists have grown an artificial human embryo as an ethical way to learn about birth defects in the earliest moments of life. Instead of sperm, eggs and a womb the scientists used stem cells and coaxed them into becoming the same 4 types of cell found in a 14-day old natural embryo. Read more
