Rewilding
Rewilding
Description
Rewilding aims to reintroduce lost animal species back to ecosystems. It’s happening around the world – bison in Romania, beavers in the UK, and wolves in the USA.
The activity gets students to plan a campaign presentation to convince the public to rewild one animal in the UK.
Rewilding can be done in 1-2 lessons, to practice higher-order thinking and prepare students for the demands of 'AO3' at GCSE. It's designed to fit into an 11-14 unit on interdependence.
