Rewilding

Rewilding

Rewilding is a form of ecological restoration that aims to reintroduce lost animal species back to ecosystems. It’s happening around the world – bison in Romania, beavers in the UK, and wolves in the USA. The Rewilding set of activities prepares students to plan a campaign presentation to convince the public to rewild one animal in the UK. Students will get to work alongside members of their household and use their knowledge of interdependence, and the enquiry skills of weighing up evidence for a claim.

This free resource contains four different activities, which can be fitted around existing science lessons in the Blueprint Interdependence unit (yellow boxes).

The green boxes show where the extra activities can be used. Rewilding is flexible - you can use one activity or all four.
