Starter: Life from Space
One of the most fundamental and thought-provoking scientific questions is: How did life on Earth begin? In this starter activity, which is based on a topical news story, students get to consider how brand new evidence may change our ideas and provides an opportunity for students to review and apply their knowledge about DNA structure. The resource includes a series of questions that you can pose to the class using cold-calling, one of the most useful questioning techniques you can use in the classroom.
